EMR is an emerging markets foremost provider of recruitment solutions specialised in most industrial segments and key functions. We are currently working with a leading multinational looking for a Learning and Development Manager to be based in UAE.

Our client is in need of Learning and Development Manager to be part of a growing team of HR professionals in the UAE. The candidate will work collaboratively with all HR functions across Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India to build programs and processes that enable organisational effectiveness while ensuring the next generation of emerging leaders.

Responsibilities would include:
- Developing and implementing local and regional learning policies and procedures
- Accountable for the effective implementation of corporate training and development strategies, ensuring that all L&D solutions are aligned to desired business results and are developed and delivered using global best practices, within set budget and quality frameworks
- Ensuring effective training programs are designed incorporating key learning principles and that training materials are aligned with organisational vision and core values
- Driving suitable training initiatives that continually develop employees' skills, performance and productivity to support the company's overall strategic objectives
- Assessing current and future training and development needs, delivering a variety of professional quality training and development programs and evaluating the effectiveness of training delivery by managers and supervisors
- Working with business leaders and managers to identify training needs and trends within the business
- Assisting in the selection of departmental trainers, then training and developing them through ongoing workshops and monthly meetings
- Managing the development and implementation of annual training plans and budgets to ensure optimum training and training budget management
- Initiating and designing development programs to suit the company’s needs and objectives
- Implementing talent management solutions, such as talent reviews, succession planning, executive assessments, coaching, individual development planning and integrating them with staffing into across all levels
- Negotiating with vendors and external consultants to provide timely, accurate and quality learning solutions within budgetary guidelines that are aligned to company values, policies and initiatives
- Managing all external training, scholarships, co-op training and bursary or related schemes to ensure that suitable supplies of freshly trained talent are available for future ACWA Power staffing

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 7 years in HR Management / Learning and Development with at least 2 years in a managerial role
