Learning and Development Specialist

We are currently looking for L&D Specialist to join the tribe of 25hours Dubai One Central.

What you will be doing:

• In conjunction with Director Talent and Culture, develop an effective annual Training Plan which meets the needs of talent as outlined in PMP/IDP plans and assists 25hours to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Identify the Marketing Plan and other sources the potential training needs and action where required.
• Liaise with TCs and Talent Guides on regular basis regarding specific training requirements within their Departments and regarding attendance at planned training courses and develop training actions as required by business.
• Plan and publish an effective annual and quarterly forecast of training courses and ensure maximum attendance through clear communication to.
• Develop, executive and lead training courses scheduled in the training calendar, tailoring courses where appropriate to meet requirements of the property, department and individuals.
• Take full responsibility for budgeting and adhering to training budget and expenses, adjusting planned expenses / actions in line with changing business requirements.
• Ensure proactive participation in all 25hours initiatives.
• Take full responsibility for 25hours new joiners tailoring and updating program as and when required.
• In line with 25hours policy, ensure that effective use of the PMP and IDP process and deadlines are adhered to by all talent at 25hours. Provide regular training for T&C/Talent Resources and ensure that the quality of all PMPs and IDPs is of the highest standards, giving feedback to T&Cs/HODs where necessary.
• Implement and maintain an effective succession plan for all talent, ensuring 100% completion of Talent Reviews for Assistant Manager and above level.
• Ensure effective roll-out of new initiatives through provision of effective training and coaching of employees.
• Ensure that departmental trainers maintain accurate and up to date records of all training activities within their departments. Ensure that reports of all training conducted are correlated from departments on monthly bases and perform spot checks that all training reported has accurately been carried out.
• Provide T&C information regarding training needs in all departments together with the departmental trainers.
• Together with the Talent & Culture Coordinator ensure that cross training process is fully utilised and followed up with each department.
• Provide reports of the RO on training courses on quarterly bases.
• Lead the process of further education sponsorship, maintain record of participants on the Education Sponsorship program, ensuring contracts are issued to all participants.
• Pick up reins of department training and on job training (dept induction, dept trainers, dept processes) and ensure consistency and quality of training.
• Ensure that 25hours orientation program is attended by all new talent within 4 weeks of joining the team.
• Ensure that the 25hours orientation program fully follows the Accor and best practise recommendations of what is included in the training.
• To provide advice service to both managers on individual development plans and/or coaching.
• Produce a list of possible IDP ideas periodically to all HODs.
• Ensure together with the Dir of T&C that 25hours is fully compliant with Accor people processes.
• Produce at least twice a year an article regarding training initiatives and/or training news.
• Lead and coordinate the team of brand trainers.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:
• You've had several years of professional experience in Training, as well as T&C within hospitality industry, and speak English fluently
• You'll bring exactitude, service orientation and team spirit to your job, so that you can give your colleagues optimal support in negotiating the maze of figures
• You can inspire colleagues, and you have good self-management skills
• You're a doer - and even if you do it wrong sometimes, you openly admit it
• You're not just bringing your abilities, but also your character
• You're computer literate and must have experience with Opera and Opera vision
• You're Personality: warm, welcoming, efficient and innovative
