What you'll be doing

Organizational:

- Follows all relevant Group policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Operates within the strategic direction of the legal department, ensuring appropriate service levels are maintained and effective support and guidance is provided to the business

Operational:

- Provide accurate, high quality and timely legal advice on a variety of legal topics, including those of a complex nature with limited to no supervision to the Group and its partners
- Manage an up-to-date dossier for all entities under the assigned vertical, maintaining registration/incorporation documents, legal correspondence and commercial agreements and shall be responsible for all corporate governance and legal compliance matters related to these entities;
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of corporate documents, commercial agreements and legal correspondences;
- Develop contract models and templates as necessary;
- Incorporate or liquidate entities in various jurisdictions;
- Research, analyze and convey timely updates on the development of legal and policy environments that would have an impact on the Group's business
- Identify new areas for compliance and support the Legal Leadership team to develop the Group's compliance policies and procedures
- Liaise with government officials, business divisions, external law offices, brand principles, JV companies and management on various legal matters
- Lead and draft all corporate by-laws, resolutions, and minutes;
- Undertake routine administrative tasks including filing records and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed

- At least 4-5 years of post-qualification experience as a corporate and commercial in-house lawyer with a reputed luxury and fashion company or law firm - Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Excellent command of English (French and Arabic would be an added advantage)
- Experience in Contract Law and Corporate Governance in the Middle East
- Ability to work in an international and dynamic business environment
- Ability to quickly embrace constant change and can demonstrate strong business acumen
- Possesses strong legal analytical, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Proficient with Computers and Microsoft Office
