Job description / Role
The successful Legal and Compliance Officer will be responsible to support the SCP of Legal and Compliance for a Financial Services organization based in Abu Dhabi.
The Legal and Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
• To provide support to the legal and compliance function to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met;
• To support the decision making process in ensuring the agreed risk appetite and policies in place
• To support with the implementation and ongoing management of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• To support the implementation and ongoing management of an effective quality management system (QA)
• Good understanding of the law and basic compliance requirements (due diligence and KYC, AML etc)
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to detail when preparing and reviewing documents
• Ability to review and amend various contracts and prepare written communications (letters, reports),
• Proficient user of Excel and Power-point

Requirements
• The ability to work under pressure and also an appetite and willingness to learn whilst on the job
• Legal and Compliance Officer will be ideally be Law Degree educated.
