Job description / Role
Based at our client’s corporate DIFC office, an opportunity has arisen to provide legal and administrative support within a boutique investment bank. They work closely with fund managers, managing significant fund portfolios and providing complete integrated solutions and advisory services for hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and family offices.
This position is extremely varied and will provide administrative, compliance and legal support to the General Counsel, across all business lines including fund management, capital markets and M&A. The responsibilities for the role will include preparation, editing and reformatting of legal documents, regulatory filings, project plans and internal policy drafts. You will need to manage and track workflow and submission deadlines and assist with implementation of corporate governance policies.
Additionally, there will be significant client liaison for KYS material and due diligence for onboarding as well as significant legal research and preparation of briefing notes. The role demands considerable discretion and high levels of confidentiality.
It is therefore expected that you will be degree educated and / or possess a professional, industry recognized, qualification with a preference within Law. Our client is seeking an individual with experience as a paralegal, legal assistant or similar in a law firm, financial and / or management consultancy. Candidates must have a familiarity with legal procedures and financial regulations within various jurisdictions.
Exceptional personal skills including social competency, strong cross-functional communication and people skills alongside a high energy and the ability to be engaged both inside and outside of normal business hours on occasion is required.
The correct work ethic, personality and overall attitude is very important to our client in order to be a best fit for the company.
