Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose
• To provide active and efficient support to the Group in-house legal function
• To assist in providing legal advice and services to other departments within the Group
• To independently draft and review broad range of contracts and agreement in English and Arabic.

Key Responsibilities
• Effectively participate in the overall in-house legal function, provide multi-disciplinary legal support for the business divisions and operating companies within the Group.
• Independently draft and review various types and complexities of Contracts and Agreements, NDAs, MOUs, POAs, and corporate documents, including memoranda and articles of association, addenda, resolutions, charters, authorizations, corporate governance manuals, policies and procedures, and different other legal documents in English and Arabic.
• Prepare and standardize legal forms and templates.
• Genuinely participate in the strategic objective of ongoing legal wellbeing of the Group.
• Support and handle legal tasks relating to new company formation, licensing, amendment, trade permits, trademark registration, IP protection, and overall regulatory compliance.
• Participate and contribute in strategic legal projects, such as legal due diligence, organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, and others.
• Manage and maintain an efficient Contract Management System which summarizes, tracks, and controls the particulars, highlights, important information and critical dates of all strategic contracts and agreements.
• Organize, update and maintain constant follow-up on legal tasks and functions.
• Prepare and manage regular legal summaries and reports.
• Manage disputes, litigation and arbitration cases, court procedures and enforcement in coordination with external law firms
• Monitor and analyse new legal and legislative updates and amendments.
• Generally handle and provide full legal assistance as required for the Legal Department.
• Carry out duties given by the Head of Legal faithfully and diligently and follow all reasonable instructions.

Requirements

Educational Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised university

Skills & Professional Requirements:
• Knowledge of UAE Law
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
• Arabic speakers are preferred

Experience Requirements:
• Experience in drafting, reviewing and revising contracts, agreements, letters and any other type of legal documents in Arabic and English.
