Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of regulatory and commercial matters, and drafting complex commercial agreements. The stakeholder is providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

Requirements

Required Education
- Law University Graduate
- MBA preferable
Required Technical & Software Skills / Required Licenses & Certifications
- Excellent business communication and presentation skills
- BAR admission in one of the countries within the region is a must
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.

Preferred Languages
- English (Full professional proficiency - Required)
- Arabic (Full professional proficiency – Required) Country Language where applicable

Years of Experience
- 8+ years’ experience as a Corporate commercial lawyer experience in a first tier international law firm and/or similar in a corporate environment

Field Experience
- 3+ years’ UAE experience (is a must)

- All internal Departments
- Interaction: Legal Advice as requested
- Frequency: Regular

External Contact Group
- External Lawyers
- Interaction: Negotiation of Civil disputes
- Frequency: On case base
