An interesting opportunity has arisen to work for a prestigious multi-billion $ JV between a large international corporation and an Abu Dhabi Government Entity who operate within the Energy Sector.

Job Description

Based in Abu Dhabi, our client operates within the Energy Sector and have an established team of lawyers and legal support staff. At this time they are seeking an experienced bilingual lawyer to join the team. This new member will be providing legal and policy advice on a wide range of legal matters related to the operational business development activities. Working for an Energy business this could be Project or Construction related, Finance, M&A, or general Corporate/Commercial work.

Responsibilities will include preparing and rendering legal opinions, drafting legal recommendations, developing divisional policies and procedures, drafting and reviewing legal agreements and providing legal assistance in the drafting of legal documents, policies, rules, and regulations. Other duties will include Corporate Governance, Stakeholder Engagement and more.

The team is headed up by a US qualified Chief Counsel, who has extensive international experience working for both international law firms and multinational energy companies.

Note: There are 2 positions available and therefore our client is considering lawyers with any one (or more) of the following areas of expertise: Energy/Projects, Construction, Finance OR Corporate)

Salary:
AED 40,000 to 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: + Family Status Medical/Insurance + Schooling Allowance

Requirements

Experience Required

• Qualified Lawyer, with admission to their home (or other) law society/Bar.
• 5-10 years of legal experience in a leading international law firm and/or in-house legal team at major international corporation
• Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
• Lawyers who have Experience in general corporate/commercial, projects/project finance, M&A, commercial properties/energy or oil & gas will be considered.
• Experience in international contract drafting and negotiation
• Ability and desire to work across a diverse range of different functions
