Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

Our client is seeking an experienced mid-level Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to their business operations within the media and production industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal support to the business and government entities as needed.
- Draft, review, amend, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
- Advise on legal rights, obligations, and compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct commercial and legal research on media-related issues and advise on dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, maintain strong communication, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and update legal templates, policies, and processes while staying informed about industry trends.

- Education: Law degree from a top-tier, accredited university or law school.
- Professional Qualification: Bar admission or solicitor qualification (preferred jurisdictions: UAE, England & Wales, USA, - Australia, or New Zealand).
- Experience: At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in TMT, corporate, commercial, or intellectual property law; media/production experience preferred.

Core Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written English skills (Arabic is a plus).
- Proficient in relevant technology platforms (e.g., Microsoft).
- Solid understanding of legal frameworks, international regulations, and commercial terminology.
- Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal compliance.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with commercial teams.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
