We are now seeking an exceptional Legal Counsel with construction and litigation experience to join our award winning team based in our Abu Dhabi Office.

This critical role will act as an advisor to KEO's senior management and assist the General Counsel identify and manage the legal issues and affairs of KEO and its associated interests in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

Paramount to success within this varied role will include;

* Assist the General Counsel in the coordination of KEO activities, in conjunction with the engagement of external legal counsel (as appropriate), related to any litigation, arbitration or other legal proceedings in which KEO is involved.
* Review of RFP/ITT Terms and Contract Conditions (including preparing draft qualifications for consideration by KEO Senior Management.
* Review of Letters of Award or Contract Documents for the appropriateness of execution including preparation of any necessary contractual amendments.
* Drafting, preparation of and advice concerning JV Agreements, MOUs, LOIs, LOAs, NDAs, Client/KEO Services Agreements, KEO/Subconsultant Agreements, and other Third Party Agreements.
* Assist with negotiations with the Clients, Consultants and Contractors on contract terms and conditions and on all project related issues of contractual significance.
* Assist in providing advice to KEO Senior Management on variation and extension of time claims, as well as other contractual issues including with respect to bonds, insurances, indemnities and so on.
* Assist the General Counsel in providing advice on and monitoring KEO's legislative compliance requirements (and legislative changes).
* Assist in developing and maintaining appropriate corporate policies, procedures, systems and processes to ensure best practice governance and compliance.
* Assist in developing and conducting training programs to ensure employees meet their regulatory / internal KEO corporate policy requirements.
* Assist the General Counsel in ensuring that the legal / commercial risks to KEO are minimized.
* Liaise with and support each of the Divisional VPs/MDs in respect of their divisional contractual / claims management and training requirements.
* As part of KEO services, provide advice to KEO's Clients (Governments and Developers) on contractual aspects of procurement strategies, consultancy services, construction contracts and claims
* As part of KEO Claims Management and Dispute Resolution Service provide advice to Clients on Claims and Disputes.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 5 years' career experience with a Bachelor of Law or equivalent. Masters level qualification will be viewed favourably.
