Legal Counsel - Regulatory & Disputes

Job Purpose
The Legal Counsel - Regulatory is responsible for supporting the Head of Legal - Regulatory by providing first level legal expertise and services for all internal and external business activities related to DA stakeholders (other than suppliers and customers). The activities consists of legal drafting, legal translation and advice, study of dispute and preparation of litigation, IP management, ensuring DA alignment with law and regulations.
Requirements
Qualification & Education
The position holder will have a Law degree from an accredited law school in addition to a legal qualification from a reputable jurisdiction allowing them to practise law. You should be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic .
Experience
A Minimum of 5 to 7 years continuous legal experience in an international or blue-chip or local Government in-house environment and/or a reputable local or an international law firm .
Training
Professional legal training.
You would be required to attend courses or seminars on audit, in-house legal compliance, Government legal training, or relevant training within the aviation industry as authorised by the Director - Legal.
Knowledge
You will have knowledge of the aviation industry, be astute at managing commercial risk and have sound knowledge of the federal and local laws of the UAE and Emirate of Dubai, including the regulations and accreditation standards applicable to the aviation industry. You will have solid experience in draft and managing commercial contracts and experience in general IP matters.
