Legal Director - Abu Dhabi

Senior role in Abu Dhabi with a generalist remit, involving not only legal/contractual duties but also involvement in key strategic decisions for the business

Client Details
This is a government backed entity with an international outreach, their operations cross various sectors and as such the legal function will have the luxury of a true variety of work. This hire would be the first lawyer hired by the entity, with the remit of establishing and growing the legal department almost from scratch

Description

* Drafting and reviewing a full suite of commercial contracts, as well as setting up precedents
* Implementing new procedures to make the contracting process more efficient
* Point of contact for Data Privacy issues and GDPR compliance
* Involvement in all aspects of IP affecting the entity
* Involvement in the procurement systems and processes
* Providing strategic advice and legal guidance directly to management

Requirements

To be considered you MUST tick the following boxes:

* LLB plus qualification as a lawyer
* Minimum of 6 years PQE
* Extensive Commercial Contracts experience - drafting and reviewing
* Knowledge of DP and GDPR
* Knowledge of IP issues
