Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Legal Director

Responsible for the successful and safe completion of all legal dealings. Liaise and give advice where necessary to ensure the effective and efficient running of all aspects of the business. He shall also take into account the various financial implications of the legal schemes put in place.

Principal Accountabilities

- Knowledge and implementation of the internal rules of procedure applicable within the ACCOR Group.
- Shall liaise regularly with the other Departments of the Group more specifically: Operational, Development and Construction; shall also support the Financial Department.
- In charge of the follow-up and management of external lawyers.
- Drafting and negotiation of various type of agreements (sales, purchase, partnership, lease agreements etc.)
- Follow-up of any litigations files with a view of trying to sign settlements as often as possible.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational Requirements:

- Graduate of University, Law

Experience

- Have at least 3 - 5 years experience in similar role
- Fluent in English; French and Arabic are advantage
- Business law: experience with leases agreements, franchise agreements, management agreements and, more generally, every legal aspects of the hotel's operation
- Real estate law: previously responsible for the negotiation and completion of assets sale and purchase
- Construction law
- Business law: experience with leases agreements, franchise agreements, management agreements and, more generally, every legal aspects of the hotel's operation
- Real estate law: previously responsible for the negotiation and completion of assets sale and
- Company law: experience with follow-up of existing companies and advise on the most suitable legal structure (JV, setting up of various companies) in order to support the development of the Group.
