Job Description & Summary

Our lawyers and legal professionals work alongside the wider PwC, providing a truly joined up client facing service offering. Our team often works with Tax, Structuring, Consulting and Risk Assurance Services and other professionals from within PwC to deliver a unique, comprehensive and integrated service to our clients.

We are a thriving business across the Middle East with a regional hub in Dubai, looking to expand further.

The Immigration & Employment law practice provides advisory and compliance services to clients in relation to immigration & employment and provides a unique opportunity to broaden your own skills and be at the cutting edge of legal services. We also look to embrace technology in everything we do.

We are looking for an Employment lawyer with five years+ experience and a Middle East Employment law background to join the Immigration & Employment Law team and to help support its continued expansion.
Our new Employment lawyer will be fully integrated into the team and will work closely with lawyers and legal professionals of all levels. Like the rest of our team, we expect those in this role will enjoy an interesting, varied and challenging workload. The day-to-day work will involve providing advice to clients on a multitude of complex labor and employment law projects across multiple countries within the Middle East, assisting clients with managing the people-related compliance aspects of mergers & acquisitions, takeovers, restructuring, and all types of business transformation. This will also include assisting with business development initiatives and reviewing client alerts as well as liaising with our other specialist legal teams in the Middle East and with our Network firms in other jurisdictions, and generally working with the team to develop top quality service to our clients.

Requirements

Essential skills:
• 5+ years post qualification experience in Middle East Employment law with a focus on the UAE
• Strong experience in business development and drafting RFP’s with a strategic outlook
• Ability to foster client relationships and lead on existing relationships
• Account management experience with a focus on enhancing the client experience
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to network
• Ability to deal with complex and/or high profile matters and managing escalations to full resolution
• Team management skills, working with Senior Manager to supervise staff performance and set objectives
• Experience delivering training clients and colleagues on employment law as well as being able to present in seminars/workshops/roundtable events
• Experience in managing workflows and account billing
• A high level of computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and legal databases
• Fluency in spoken and written English; clear, articulate and confident in written and verbal communication skills

Desirable skills:
• Proficient Arabic language ability desirable
