Job description / Role
* The Legal Manager will provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a variety of banking and finance matters, including corporate, trade, and treasury transactions.
* The role involves working closely with internal teams and external counsel while managing complex legal documentation and disputes.

Description
* Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents for various financial transactions, including loans, project finance, and Islamic finance.
* Provide legal support for corporate, trade finance, and treasury products, and assist in rolling out new products.
* Manage litigation and dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiations, to protect the organization's interests.
* Advise on legal risk, regulatory compliance, and assist in due diligence processes for new products.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and standardize legal agreements in line with best practices.
* Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the business.

Requirements:
* At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance law, ideally with experience in both in-house and law firm environments.
* Strong background in corporate finance, trade finance, and treasury products, with specific knowledge of UAE and DIFC legal procedures.
* Ability to manage complex legal matters autonomously, while collaborating with senior stakeholders for more challenging issues.
* Ideally bilingual in Arabic and English, with familiarity in common law jurisdictions.
* Prior experience in mediation and litigation is essential.
