Legal Officer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Officer to join our dynamic investment management team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the business in managing legal risks effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and advice on investment management transactions and operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the organization's interests.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE and internationally.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
- Conduct legal research and keep the team updated on changes in laws affecting the investment management industry.
- Support dispute resolution processes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to identify and mitigate legal risks.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) with a valid license to practice law in the UAE.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within investment management or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to investment management and financial markets.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to managing legal issues.
