Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

In addition to normal secretarial duties you will be responsible for ensuring that legal advisors and clients receive a professional, efficient and high quality secretarial service from the team.

Team Leader Responsibilities:
• Supervision of the secretarial team (7 people) focusing on service delivery and excellence
• Lead on secretary training and development, ensure best practice approaches are adopted
• Ensuring firm standards are met and champion/implement required change processes
• Act as relationship manager between fee-earning population and secretary team
• Workflow management
• Attendance and absence management
• Chairing secretarial team meetings
• Leading in the secretarial recruitment process
• Leading in the QCI Process
• Undertake ad hoc duties/projects as and when required

Requirements

As An Integral Part Of Our Team, We Expect:
• 5+ years of legal secretarial experience at an international law firm
• Near native written and spoken English communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills with 1 + years of proven team management experience
• An ability to remain calm and retain a professional attitude under pressure
• An ability to influence at all levels and generate respect from case handlers and colleagues alike
• An ability to build a collaborative team-orientated culture
• A positive attitude with willingness to accept and promote change
• High level of initiative and pro-activity
• An ability to take problems and suggest solutions
• Flexibility with working hours
• Confident, Professional and Confidential
• A 'can do' individual who is highly motivated,
• A keen eye for detail, ensuring a consistent high level of accuracy
• Experience of working with confidential information
• Previous experience of team co-ordination is preferable
• Experience of dealing with performance management preferable
• Experience of change management preferable
• An ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with individuals at different levels of seniority
• Recruitment experience would be advantageous
