Job description / Role
This job opportunity is with a government entity based in Dubai, UAE.
As a Library Specialist, you would be responsible for developing and enforcing library standards and policies. You would oversee and maintain accurate records of books and other reference materials. Monitor space needs and give recommendations for shift execution. Notify borrowers on overdue materials on a regular basis. Liaise with 3rd party contractors and suppliers regarding the archival of library materials. Responsible for scheduling repairs on damaged books or order replacements. Assist employees in finding the reference that they need.
To be successful, you should have at least 2+ years of experience in IT and Data management. A Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or other related field is a must. Having proven experience in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
