Lifeguard

To take responsibility / ownership and provide a truly memorable experience for the guest and fulfill the duties as a Lifeguard and team member at the Kempinski The Spa. To have a clear understanding of, and work in line with all related standards, core values, visions and goals of Kempinski The Spa.

Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai

An impressive 100,000 square meters, the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai comprises 347 luxuriously appointed rooms, of which 36 are exquisitely spacious suites. Surrounded by pristinely landscaped tropical gardens are eight highly appointed royal villas with stunning views of the Palm Lagoon. The hotel's wide variety of international restaurants, boutique mall and cinema provide ample dining and entertainment attractions. With its opening in 2018, the hotel's classical design will complement the Kempinski Residences and Hotel Apartments Palm Jumeirah, which has been developed in the same architectural style and is located on the adjacent plot.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Be responsible for the safety and well-being of all Hotel guests and Club members using the recreation facilities.
- To maintain a daily chlorine / PH reading log book of pool water.
- Ensure that all surrounding areas of pools are kept clean and all lounges / tables, umbrellas, ashtrays are placed neatly at the start and end of each operational day as well as during the day.
- To undertake training of all time - lifesaving techniques /procedures with special attention in the development of staff, swimming abilities, stamina, strokes, and water awareness.
- Must attend to the need of the guests immediately, serious problems / situations must be reported to Life Guard Team Leader / Life Guard Supervisor / Assistant Security Manager immediately.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Caution swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
- Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum one (2) year experience in the applied role, preferably in a 4/5 star hotel
- Local language - excellent oral and written skills (as applicable)
- English - excellent oral and written skills
- Additional language - beneficial
- Holding professional lifeguard qualification
- Ability to work under pressure and within the team
