Light Vehicle Driver

Job description / Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Light Vehicle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Light Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate light vehicles, including cars and small vans, for the transportation of goods and passengers.
• Follow scheduled routes and ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safety on the road.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid UAE driver's license for light vehicles.
• Minimum 4 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
