The Liquid Biopsy and Advanced Cancer diagnostics Lead will be tasked with leading the development of plans and operations in this exciting field and towards establishing a regionally leading, commercial advanced cancer diagnostics portfolio.

Description

* Develop operational strategies and technical road maps for Liquid Biopsy and Advanced Cancer Diagnostics product development and international commercial growth
* Combine with scientific, technical, biomedical and commercial understanding towards the translation of our data assets and current technological infrastructure into new early cancer detection capabilities
* Demonstrate global domain expertise in the field of liquid biopsy and advanced cancer diagnostics and work with the Head of Partnerships and broader business team to develop internally and where needed source external expertise in this field
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop plans for the validation of global pre-market solutions
* Lead on the assembly of carefully selected R&D resources, working with stakeholders across the business to develop our internal IP and product development capabilities
* Work with the Commercial Director, Senior Business Leadership, internal and external stakeholders to develop commercial and new market entry operational strategies for liquid biopsy and advanced cancer diagnostics, with an emphasis on population-level early cancer detection and screening opportunities
* Engage with clinical care providers to develop liquid biopsy and early cancer detection collaborations, R&D commercially-oriented programmes
* Support the Business in understanding value, ROI and strategic priorities in this space
* Work with internal stakeholders to help secure grants and funded collaborations in the area of expertise

Requirements

* PhD in health, biomedical, healthtech and/or life-science related field ideally in molecular cancer /cancer diagnostics
* 10 or more years in the advanced cancer diagnostics field with a strong understanding of the global landscape including industry, startups, pharma and regulatory
* Proven C or Director level Liquid Biopsy and/or advanced cancer diagnostics role, ideally combining strength in science, operations, product development and commercial growth
* Liquid biopsy and/or advanced cancer diagnostics entrepreneurial and /or product launch experience
* Advanced understanding of the application of liquid biopsy and advanced cancer diagnostics at scale, with emphasis on population health screening programmes
* Product and Business development acumen with the entrepreneurial skillset and can-do approach combining strategy and operations
* Solid understanding of early cancer diagnosis technological, industrial, legal, public health and regulatory landscape
* A deep interest in health innovation and cutting edge health/life science developments with a willingness to deep dive into complex topics and express them simply and coherently
* Solid commercial and product-centric acumen with the ability to bridge the gap between tech, science and business
* Existing portfolio of global relationships with biopharma, universities, biotech and pharma
* Ability to liaise with executives, medical, biomedical, scientific, commercial and government stakeholder
