Job description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused lobby waitress to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a lobby waitress, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests in the hotel lobby area, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and satisfying.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner

Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

Serve meals, snacks, and beverages in the lobby area

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby dining area

Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions

Respond promptly to guest inquiries and special requests

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

Assist in setting up and breaking down lobby dining areas as needed

Provide recommendations on menu items when asked

Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and promotions

Qualifications

Required skills and experience:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and empathetic demeanor

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills for handling financial transactions

Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks

Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems

High school diploma or equivalent

Food handling certification (may be required)

Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Basic English language proficiency; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus

Additional information

Additional qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
