Logistic Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented logistics manager to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods, optimizing logistics processes, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. You will be a key player in streamlining logistics functions to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day logistics operations including shipping, warehousing, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams (purchasing, sales, and production) to ensure timely delivery and stock management.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to ensure the best rates and quality of service.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, receipts, and inventory.
• Manage the logistics budget and ensure cost-effective solutions are being implemented.
• Ensure compliance with local and international transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics personnel.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a logistics manager or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and warehouse management systems.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
