Job description / Role
Responsible for overseeing the steps of supply chin process starting from planning, development, logistics until distribution to ensure a very an efficient, on time and cost effective supply chain management and managing a group of logistics professionals to reach all company goals in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Directs all the processes such as - planning of production, inventory control, logistics and distribution.
- Ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities.
- To train, develop, mentor and assist subordinates and ensure the team is functioning effectively.
- Provide accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Negotiating transportation contracts to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
- Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage or inventory.
- Monitor forecast and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
