Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
• Carries out the various stages relating to the physical inflows and outflows of goods at the warehouse.
• Ensures that the warehouse facility is up to the QA standard at all times.

Main responsibilities

Accept, store, prepare, and store goods in the warehouse.
• Receive instructions from the team leader, and check the condition of the equipment
• Accept (and/or) store goods and prepare and release products based on instructions issued by their line management, and using appropriate equipment, as needed
• Check batches accepted at the warehouse in accordance with their line management’s instructions
• Prepare shipments, in accordance with their line management's instructions

Store the goods
• Organize the storage of goods and/or products, take into consideration any special requirements, include hazards posed, and the available space in designated areas in accordance with the storage, working methods, processes and rules applicable (or computerized inventory management, if available)
• Use appropriate equipment as needed

Prepare a report
• Update the documents and/or materials made available to them as part of their tasks
• Provide those documents to the team leader within the determined timeframes
• Scan labels whenever necessary
• Supervise scanning through mobile devices on Link by drivers

Check the inventory
• Take part in the warehouse inventories

Specific Activities
• Handle hazardous materials
• Drive vehicles that require a special license - forklift license

• Reporting to: Deputy Distribution Center Manager/ Logistics Coordinator
• Subordinates: Logistics Assistant
• Other interactions: External clients
• Number required: 2-3
• Duration: Permanent Position
• Desired start date: As soon as possible
• Probation: 6 months
• Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday 8am to 5pm (roster will be provided)
• Travel requirements: No
• Gross monthly base salary: Tax free salary, all inclusive (housing and transportation)
• Commission / Bonus: No

Requirements

• High Secondary (12 years of schooling) with Diploma or Certificate in relevant field.
• Work experience in a warehouse environment
• Good communication skills (read, write and speak in English)
• Safety Awareness
• Forklift license is a must*
• Aviation experience is mandatory*
