Logistics Executive - Kanoo Logistics
The Kanoo Group is pleased to announce that we are looking to hire a Logistics Executive for our Kanoo Logistics Division.
We are looking for an efficient individual who has experience in the knowledge of Airfreight Operations. Ensure timely and accurately processing of shipments, documents and submitting to customs and delivering cargo to customers as per their requirements.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a similar role within a reputed Logistics/ Freight Forwarding business in the UAE.
Job Responsibilities:
• Handle the Air Freight Operations and Documentation.
• Handling Exhibition Shipments.
• Issuing Delivery Orders to customers and clearing agents.
• Handling DG (Dangerous Goods) shipments.
• Using the Calogi system for airway bills.
• Invoicing to customers on completion of delivery.
• Coordinating with overseas agents for nominations and pre-alert if required.
• Coordinating with clients for required documentation and delivery of their shipments.
• Assisting field operations staffs in Customs entry.
• Liaising with airlines for export B/L and delivery to customers whenever required.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a sizeable logistics/ freight forwarding company.
• Very good knowledge of Airfreight Operations and DG Shipment.
• You must hold a Dangerous Goods Handling Certification from a reputed training academy – Mandatory.
• Well-versed with the Calogi System.
• Must be a High School Graduate or hold a Bachelor's Degree in any field.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• You must be courteous, hardworking and result oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player and must produce a high quality of productivity.
• Must be self-motivated, articulated and energetic.
• Good knowledge of written and verbal English.

Established in 1890, Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo (YBA Kanoo) started from a humble trading and shipping enterprise founded in Bahrain by Haji Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo. From Bahrain, the business spread to Saudi Arabia in the 1930s.

One of the first industries that Kanoo excelled at was shipping. No one could have predicted that it would challenge the monopoly of long established British companies and goes on to become the largest regional shipping agency in the Middle East. Kanoo Shipping is one of the founders of S5 Agency World Ltd. and was the first Arab shipping agency in the region in 1911. At present, Kanoo Shipping operates in 20 countries and in all principal ports and offshore tanker loading terminals around the Arabian Peninsula, including Iraq. It handles 11,000 port calls every year which covers all ports in the Suez to India range.
The historic rise of Kanoo Travel has proven similarly impressive. The group's interest in travel started in 1937 when the company used to provide refueling facilities for Imperial Airline sea-planes en route to India and Australia.
