Logistics Executive

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Executive to join our manufacturing team specializing in water-based polymer emulsions. The ideal candidate will manage the entire logistics process, ensuring timely delivery and efficient coordination between suppliers, production, and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the logistics operations including shipping, transportation, and warehousing to ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished products.
- Manage customs clearance activities through Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Customs, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound logistics to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Collaborate closely with production and sales teams to forecast demand and adjust logistics plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation companies to handle documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and quality standards in logistics activities.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and improvements for management review.

- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of logistics procedures, warehouse management, and transportation regulations within the UAE.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English;
- A valid UAE driving license will be considered an advantage.
