Job description / Role

We are looking for a reliable logistics manager to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. Logistics manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.

The goal is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.Trading Experience is must. Should have solid knowledge of LC documents.
Preference will be given to the candidates who can join immediately

* Trading Experience is must
* Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
* Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
* Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
* Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
* Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
* Resolve any arising problems or complaints
* Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
* Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
* Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
* Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements requirements
* Proven working experience as a logistics manager
* Record of successful distribution and logistics management
* Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
* Proficient in standard logistics software
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
* Handles freight inquiry {sea/air/land) such as rates, transit time with vessel schedules as required by the customer from shipping lines, airlines or with forwarders/agents.
* Coordinates closely with forwarder/agent for the movement of the material from the warehouse up to point of destination or delivery.
* Prepares GRN (Goods Release Note) to facilitate the release of the material upon advice from the Accounts Department and prepares labels for the reworks for the material to be delivered.
* Handles shipments for local delivery and export to Middle East, India, Sudan, South Africa and other port of destinations as per customer requirement.
* Coordinates with the warehouse personnel for the proper packing, labels, loading and transportation to facilitate prompt delivery to the customer's warehouse or to the load port.
* Responsible for switching BL (bill of lading) in cases of shipments that are shipped directly to the port of destination from origin.
* Monitors tracking of incoming material to ensure prompt delivery.
* Provides estimate date of arrival/ departure of shipments for information of the customer.
