Job description / Role
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing the transportation and distribution of lubricant products for a lubricant company in Dubai, UAE.
The incumbent will ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers, while also managing inventory levels and monitoring the performance of logistics partners.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the transportation and distribution of lubricant products to customers.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained at all times.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of logistics partners and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistics partners, shipping companies, and other supply chain stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain import and export processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to transportation and logistics.
- Prepare and maintain reports on logistics operations, including cost analysis and performance metrics.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the efficiency of logistics operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Having competency/experience Customs & Port Formalities. (preferred)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the lubricant industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and distribution processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using logistics management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must have valid UAE Driving License.
