Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor

Job description / Role

• Supervise the warehouse operation team to ensure the warehouse operation process is in place.
• To assist the Departmental Head in implementing new processes and business enhancement project(s) primary Responsibility

• To ensure regular cycle counts been performing
• Supervise and determine the inventories accuracy for raw materials, consumables and finished goods, and to ensure that they are inventoried in a good, clean and usable state.
• Provide timely and accurate reports and/or information on all inventory levels in order to facilitate closure of financial accounts and other decision making.
• Preparation & monitoring aged stocks; to develop a consistent procedure to ensure aged stocks are reviewed in proper & that disposition plans are in line with New Toyo requirements.
• To ensure internal & external customer’s deliveries are efficient with no discrepancies to minimize company’s costs.
• Work in tandem with Planning/Production to analyse material issuance & usage per job to close gaps in inventory reporting.
• To ensure that the housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times, including upkeep and maintain of machinery and equipment.
• To assist on applications of Sales Tax, Customs and any other regulatory bodies pertaining to imports, exports, purchases and sales requirements.
• To assist stock monitoring & reporting for materials under duty/sales tax exemption; submission of monthly or quarterly reports as regulated under the Sales Tax & Customs Act. These include stock movements to/from all external sub-contract works & external warehouses.
• To assist and maintain good business relations with relevant parties such as forwarders, logistics and shipping agents, customs and relevant government agencies.

Requirements

- Diploma/ Bachelor Degree preferred, experience often may substitute for education
- Minimum 3-4 years working experience in Logistics with knowledge in Import/Export & Custom related procedures, Inventory Management/Monitoring/Reporting
Work experience MRP and ERP system is an added advantage.
- Certified Forklift driving licence is an added advantage.
- Possess strong sense of commitment, good analytical skills, result orientated and emphasizes on efficiency, productivity and quality.
- Computer literate
