Job overview

Due to our continuous growth, we require an excellent primary school homeroom class teacher to join our team starting from 05-01-2026. With the ability to inspire student inquiry and engagement, we are seeking applications from outstanding primary school homeroom class teachers. Those with experience in the IB curriculum with the ability to differentiate learning and to demonstrate a deep commitment to educating the child in a holistic manner are preferred.

The role

The primary school class teacher will plan and deliver lessons to support outstanding student progress through individual, small group, and in-class teaching methods in line with IB/PYP framework. The ideal applicant will possess a kind and personable nature, an enthusiastic approach, and engaging personality. They will place emphasis on providing their students with well-resourced lessons and promote every child's right to learn by creating a safe but challenging environment where children are happy to take risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum content, maintaining outstanding teaching and assessment standards.
  • Create a nurturing and engaging classroom that supports students' right to learn.
  • Develop differentiated lessons that meet diverse student needs, especially within the IB framework.
  • Collaborate closely with students, parents, and peers to foster a positive educational experience.
  • Engage in school-wide activities and contribute to the overall welfare of the school community.

Requirements

  • Degree in primary education, early years education, or childhood (or related fields).
  • Valid bachelors of education, PGCE with UK qualified teachers status, American teaching license, or SACE.
  • Minimum 2 years proven teaching experience essential; ideally within an IB school.
  • Proven track record in delivering outstanding results.
  • Professional commitment to the successful implementation of an enriched IB/PYP curriculum.
  • To be in adherence with the KHDA recruitment conditions if employed by a current school in Dubai.
  • Competent level of IT skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with students, parents, and peers.
  • Be willing to engage in extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the general welfare of the school.
