M&A Manager

Job description / Role

We are working with a global professional services firm to help them find a M&A Manager. The candidate will join the transaction services team and will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital.

Role:
• Lead preparing of proposals to prospective clients and obtaining internal approvals.
• Manage transactions, driving the transaction timetable, ensuring quality on client deliverable, as well as managing counter-parties and other advisers to ensure transaction milestones are met.
• Participate at meetings with clients including targets and other advisers throughout the transaction process.
• Lead, develop and counsel junior colleagues, share your technical and other knowledge, and take an active role in the growth and development of the whole team.
• Build and expand internal and external networks whilst developing personal brand and and spot firm - wide sales opportunities.
• Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identifying opportunities, opening and leveraging relationships.
• Lead multiple projects and transactions at any given time.
• Actively lead the deal process including preparing the transaction documents.
• Understanding the key business drivers, identifying key issues and risks / conclusions and providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
• Responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching to others, and participate in upward feedback.

Requirements

• Strong experience in a M&A environment (5-10 years), including experience playing a key role in executing transactions, end to end.
• Solid knowledge in sell side and buy side advisory.
• Demonstrate strong numerical and financial skills and an understanding of financial statements.
• Extensive experience in building financial models and valuing businesses using various methodologies within challenging timescales.
• Strong academic record including professional qualifications from reputed institutions.
