Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Managing Directors

A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.

The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Directs workers and contractors engaged in buildings and grounds maintenance activities.
- Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance staff.
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
- Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations.
- Confers with workers to resolve grievances.
- Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance department.

Requirements

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of successful multi-unit leadership experience in full service environment
- Multi-national experience in the field of restaurants or hospitality (UAE experience preferred)
- Communicating effectively in written and oral form
- Conducting organizational and administrative duties
