Job description / Role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and civil systems, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify issues and coordinate timely repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage a team of technicians and craftspersons, providing training and guidance to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks, ensuring they meet project specifications and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment performance to support budget planning and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers on upcoming projects, providing insights into maintenance implications and resource needs.
- Monitor compliance with local regulations and company policies, ensuring all maintenance activities are executed within legal and environmental guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, ensuring a solid technical foundation.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in a maintenance supervisory role within the MEP or civil sectors, showcasing a track record of effective leadership.
- Experience in managing maintenance operations in commercial or industrial facilities, demonstrating an understanding of complex systems.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve maintenance objectives.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, allowing for effective prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing MEP systems, showcasing technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical ability to perform on-site inspections and engage in manual tasks, ensuring a deep understanding of maintenance processes.
