Manager - Excellence Programs

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate all activities pertaining to excellence programs and submissions within DA. The jobholder is responsible for creating and disseminating an excellence and quality oriented thinking in the business by providing SME support to Agenda business partners while embedding excellence requirements in the day-to-day business. They will further be responsible in ensuring DA's compliance to the unified action plan for excellence requirements and will own the resulting excellence submissions across DA.
The jobholder will also work closely with the reporting officer to ensure timely reports are released to the management and will liaise with ghost writers to ensure quality excellence submissions.
Requirements
The jobholder should have a degree in a discipline to business management with a professional qualification in Excellence/Quality Management and compliance assessment.
Experience
The jobholder should have 5-7 years of experience in Government excellence of similar scale and complexity with experience in quality management and ability to manage multiple projects.
Training
The jobholder should be an Excellence Assessor
Knowledge
• Good Understanding of the Excellence frameworks and related assessment methodology
• Knowledge of standards/ regulations / industry best practices/ benchmarking techniques
• Understanding of performance management and statistical techniques
• Project management
• Statistical Tools and Techniques
