Job description / Role
Synopsis
The Finance Manager position will be responsible for managing a team of 5 to 8 and for day-to-day invoice reconciliation, payment & reporting to ensure smooth operations. It will support the head of department in implementing large scale control and efficiency improvement through re-design and use of automation covering Direct Operating Costs.
Accountabilities
- Presenting at senior management meetings and a focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
- Responsible of Direct operating cost reconciliation, analysis and expenditure
- Responsible for driving process efficiency through simplification and use of automation
- Ownership over all training and development needs for payment team, including supporting creation of development plans, involvement in succession planning process and management of underperformers.
- Accountable for invoice reconciliation controls, must prevent duplicate payments, mitigate fraud risk and ensure regulatory requirements met (e.g. Tax compliance)
- Responsible for working with the Senior Management to monitor progress of long-term AP objective & projects
- Responsible for timely delivery of ad-hoc reporting/MIS types of requests
- Support T&I relationship with regard any broad system or interface changes which will impact daily operations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers and business partners
- Managing accounting functions maintaining direct operating cost month-end closing report, accrual, reconciliation, and expense reporting
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in job assignments and procedures to meet up with operational needs
- Personal, team engagement and development
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience within relevant field
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, Flight Order and VIM
- People management experience, directly managing teams of 4+
- Process design background is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
- Excellent communication skills
