What you'll be doing
The Planning Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the overall reporting structure, tools, and processes at a company-wide level, driving operational efficiency across planning functions. This role ensures visibility of key business performance indicators (KPIs) and fosters continuous improvement in ways of working, supporting decision-making and aligning with the broader strategic goals of the organization
- Total Reporting Management: Oversee and streamline company-wide reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely visibility into business performance.
- Tools & Systems Optimization: Manage and optimize planning tools and systems that support demand forecasting, allocation, replenishment, and inventory management.
- Develop a planning calendar outlining key milestones and critical touchpoints
- Operational Efficiency: Drive improvements in processes and ways of working to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the planning operations function.
- KPI Tracking & Analysis: Ensure continuous visibility and analysis of critical KPIs related to inventory, sales performance, stock availability, and operational costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, finance, supply chain, and IT teams to align reporting and planning operations with overall business objectives
- Support the creation and execution of Merchandise 101 roadshows to educate and engage stakeholders on merchandising best practices.
- Manage the audit process for damaged goods, ensuring compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Assist in formulating allocation strategies that optimize stock levels across stores, focusing on min and max level planning.
Requirements:
- Inventory Management Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory planning and management.
- Clear and actionable insights from company-wide performance data
- Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to develop dashboards and reporting systems.
- Merchandising Knowledge: Understanding of merchandising principles and strategies, particularly in retail environments.
- Audit and Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with audit processes related to inventory and damaged goods management.
- Communication and Training Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and conduct training sessions effectively.
