Job description / Role

Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):
The Manager/Product Development PD- Digital & Managed Services will be responsible for the development of Digital & Managed Services within Etisalat Business Department. Digital & Managed Services will cover wide spectrum of offerings including Data, Broadband, Cloud, Hosted and Converged Solutions. The candidate should have experience and knowledge of the Business customers’ needs and how those needs can be converted into profitable offerings and how they can be realized technically. The candidate should have the needed leadership, negotiation and communication skills to fulfill the role mandates. The candidate should have good exposure to new technology trends in Digital and managed services (Virtualization, IoT…etc)

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Has proven knowledge and experience in building end-to-end Digital & Managed Services from concept all the way to successful launch. Telecom Operator and Service Provider experience is an advantage.
• Maintains knowledge of current and emerging trends in the industry, including all relevant areas of telecommunication and information systems that might be incorporated as new technologies into future systems.
• Ability to manage/monitor and track delivery of multiple initiative/projects and ensure that project teams are working effectively to achieve targets.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a proactive manner.
• Ability to lead subordinates to achieve set targets.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term, collaborative relationship with key stakeholders that relate to product life cycle development; Product Owners, Engineering, IT and Vendors to achieve Etisalat’s goals.
• Liaises with Product Owners to create product/ service solutions that entirely fulfill customer needs/ requirements.
• Responsible for managing and ensuring the realization of marketing initiatives into products to achieve annual revenue targets.
• Translates customer requirements into technical requirements and defines end-to-end technical design & functionality
• Manages the technical feasibility with respect to customer requirements, cost efficiency as well as corporate standards, procedures and guidelines
• Manages and oversees the technical implementation plans until technical product launch, identifies and classifies potential barriers to the implementation and defines alternative solutions or changes if necessary
• Coordinates technical realization with IT and Engineering section to realize high-quality technical solutions and products within time frame and budget.
• Manages all aspects of vendor relations effectively in order to ensure that contract finalization, compliance and timely completion and payment are handled smoothly and according to the prescribed procedures and guidelines
• Oversees Product Launch activities and plans in order to ensure continuous improvements and success of product launches.
• Defines and continuously review key performance indicators for subordinates to ensure their alignment with Etisalat goals and objectives.
• Reports to and maintains ongoing dialogue with management and informs periodically and ad-hoc about performance and achievement of targets.
• Develop subordinates capabilities to ensure better execution of job tasks
• Oversees planning, prioritization and assignment of objectives and tasks to the entire section/sub-section. Reviews allocation/ utilization of resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineer or Computer Science
• Project & Program management, Business Analysis and Service Design – Mandatory
• Product & Services, Marketing Operations - Preferred
• 5-7 years’ experience in related functions
