One of the largest banks in the region are looking for a manager within their product control function. The bank has posted very strong financial results over the past few years despite ongoing uncertainties in the region.

The Organization unit purpose is to ensure the Global Market Rates and PC structure set up at the bank is managed effective. Ensuring adequate financial controls over Global markets and Treasury activities; provide support in business decision making, planning, performance management and project implementation.
The successful candidate is required to lead all project Control activities, ensuring compliance with all Daily PLs, Controls and financial requirements, adding value to the planning, budgeting and performance of Group Treasury, in supporting AVP Product Control. The successful candidate is responsible for the P&L reporting and substantiation, price testing controls and maintenance of the accounting & financial reporting systems and processes at Group Treasury, for the Preparation and accuracy of its MIS and financial reports and for comprehensive analyses and reporting of business performance.
* Review new products offerings and ensure that accounting plans comply to procedures and guidelines
* Constant review of accounting policies to ensure compliance at all times
* Development of accounting procedure and implementation thereof
* Review of P&L accounts and ensure that reported figures reflect the true business position
* Review of daily P&L reports
* Review of cost centre reported figure and instituting corrections where necessary
* Support business decision making process through quality analyses, inputs and views as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
* A qualified accountant with 5 years of experience in banking or financial services in GCC region.
* A University degree and professional qualifications like ACCA, ACA, CFA etc.
* Knowledgeable with treasury products and systems
* Knowledgeable with MM, IRD, Fx and Assert Swaps etc.
