Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):

The Project Assurance team works with Etisalat’s Project Management and Professional Services team to make sure that the projects managed and delivered by PSPM remain viable in terms of costs and benefits (business assurance), checking that the users' requirements are being met (user assurance), and that the project is delivering a suitable solution(specialist or technical assurance).

The team employs some of the foremost technology experts with competencies to understand projects and how they function to deliver their end product and business benefits. They must have an empathy with how projects should be structured and managed. They must understand that Project Governance is a flexible and adaptable method that is intended to be tailored according to a project’s size, complexity, importance and risk. Project assurance have individuals who have an instinct for the common problems and risk areas within a project and be able to detect root cause problems from the symptoms.

The Manager/Specialist Project Assurance performs the project assurance and support function of small and medium programs/projects that have cross - organizational impacts and high dollar values. The incumbent will have the substantial level of Project Management and consulting expertise. This position will provide participation and technical expertise to project teams through determining priorities, work assignments, project planning, and project outcome evaluations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide independent and Objective oversight of projects performance
• Audit of Technical, Commercial and Safety performance and Critical Success Factors
• Confirms that the right project governance approach is adopted.
• Defines how risk assessment will be carried out.
• Ascertains that the project filing system is adequate and optimal
• Perform checks on the updated quality log.
• Participate in impact analysis
• Participate in Risk analysis
• Participate in the review of stage status report
• Reviews Highlight report
• Confirms the completeness and accuracy of plans
• Ascertains completeness of the project
• Confirms that exception plan is in line with exception report
• Ascertains that Team plan is quality checked
• Monitors deviation from project tolerances
• Ascertains that quality standards are adhered to in the Project Quality Plan
• Confirms that controls are adequate
• Reviews quality check requirements in the Work Package.
• Monitors the impact of any changes on the Business Case

Brief Description:
Looking for a UAE National candidate to join our Business Professional Services & Project Management team. Someone has Bachelor Degree in Business/IT and 5to 8 years of experience in professional services/ICT in a large telecom/ ICT company
