Play Your Part

Accountable for achieving strategic objectives, ensuring effective insurance risk management (including hazard risks) for the organization. Owns the process of identifying, measuring and managing insurable risks, developing reports and resolving insurance issues

Main Duties

- Responsible for the procuring/renewing/amending/cancelling all DXBE Insurance policies as required.
- Overseeing the Insurance process for all DXBE business units.
- Assessing areas of risk exposure for the Group, which may require insurance or increased cover
- Updating and revising policies and procedures related to all DXBE business units.
- Discuss DXBE insurance and potential risk areas with senior management if and when required.
- Conduct an Annual Insurance strategy meeting, renewal planning and management with the Insurance broker.
- Work with all Business Units in collecting of questionnaire, data gathering and data analysis when renewing/procuring Insurance policies.
- Work with broker to form a gap analysis in terms of cover offered and industry benchmarking.
- Ensure that all required underwriting submissions are provided to the Broker/Insurer on time.
- Review policy wording with the Broker.
- Form renewal strategies with the Broker.
- Keep up to date with procuring/renewal process of the Insurance policies.
- Identify and advise management on uninsured/underinsured risk/s.
- Maintain all Insurance documents in an orderly manner.Ensure that all Insurance invoices are processed by the relevant Business Units as per the Insurance policy terms.
- Monitor claims with all business units (new and current).
- Report all new claims to the Broker/Insurer and provide the Broker / Insurer with all the relevant documents.
- Coordinate between the business units and Insurance Loss Adjustor / Broker / Insurer when required.
- Assist each Business unit with the preparation of new / existing claims.
- Day to day claims administration.
- Maintain and update the claims records (All general Insurance claims).
- Work with Insurance Risk Engineer to identify new risks once a year.
- Work with the Broker in setting up a marketing Insurance strategy when placing / renewing the Insurance policy.
- Coordinate site visits when required between the Broker / Insurer and the relevant business units.
- Perform contract reviews for all business units as required.
- Prepare the annual Insurance budget.
- Update Insurance accruals with finance every month.
- Ensure that all premiums and broker fees are paid on time.
- Assist HR if required in renewing the Group Health and Life Insurance policy.

Requirements

Are You a Star?

In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

Essential:

- Specific insurance related qualification: Associates in Risk Management (ARM), Associates in Claim Manegemen5t (ACM), Chartered property/Casualty underwriter (CPCU), Associates in Loss Control Management (ALCM)
- 6 years of experience in Insurance Risk Management / consulting role of which 2 years has to be in Insurance Risk Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of implications of policy wording how uphold in court of law (arbitration and litigation)

Desirable:

- Experience in managing insurance risks in the Leisure & Entertainment, Real Estate, Construction, Retail, Hospitality industry.
- Experience in negotiation of policy wording with either or all of the following; insurance, lawyers, brokers and insured parties.
- Experience in contract reviews particularly in insurance, indemnification and liabilities sections etc.
- Experience in either all of the following; Theme parks, Construction, Retail &F&B and Hospitality.
- Experience in design of scenario tests and plans.
- Experience in design of insurance risk management.
- Possess superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
