Brief Description

- Oversees the portfolio of strategic projects of the assigned department (Sales, Customer Care or Marketing) for end-to-end project and program management, ensuring continuous alignment to the departments strategic objectives.
- Manages the governance and administration required to deliver the assigned departments strategic programs (e.g. Steer Co. management, reporting, escalations and KPIs).
- Manages, coordinates and enhances the assigned programs section, ensuring that all assigned projects and programs redelivered using delivery best practices and within agreed scope, time, cost and quality constraints.
- Provides strong consultancy support and guidance to the section SVP and the leadership team on the execution of all strategic programs and top priority, high value projects.
- Provides strong leadership in a cross-functional, matrix management environment, developing and maintaining senior level relationships in order to ensure the smooth implementation of assigned projects and programs
- Responsible for delivering projects and programs within scope, time, cost and quality constraints within a highly challenging, complex and dynamic environment.
- Coaches and develops more junior Project Management team members in order to maintain exceptionally high project management standards.

Requirements

- Works closely with PMO Consumer to optimise the governance required to ensure the effective delivery of all strategic programs (policies, processes, procedures, templates, meetings).
- Oversees the end to end delivery of all assigned projects and programmes ensuring that team members adhere to international project and programme management best practices and standards.
- Acts in the capacity as program or project manager where required, managing within time, cost and quality parameters.
- Supports and oversees team members throughout the project planning phase, ensuring project scope and objectives are well documented and that high quality, detailed project plans are developed.
- Oversees team members to ensure risks and issues are proactively identified, managed and addressed, escalating high priority issues to management where issues cannot be resolved at project level.
- Ensures that high quality project and programme documentation is created, managed and maintained with a view to archiving accurate project records and history, thus adhering to audit and ISO9001 standards.
- Oversees team members to ensure that accurate status reporting is in place for all assigned projects and programmes to ensure complete transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Uses influencing skills to support project teams with the resolution and management of risks and issues, managing escalations at a senior level, building strong relationships and credibility with key stakeholders across the business.
- Ensures high quality post implementation reviews are completed for all projects, reviews and evaluates projects and programme management performance, and makes recommendations on company wide continuous improvement opportunities.
- Supports all Consumer Business Owners and Senior Leaders throughout the project lifecycle, providing inputs on realistic objectives, timelines and capacity potential.
- Provides high quality coaching to operational team members engaged in project and supports other PD/PM teams in ensuring high quality project management standards are in place across the board.
- Provides timely and accurate status reports for all assigned projects and programmes to ensure complete transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

- Bachelors Degree
- Project Management Certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile).
- High quality project management experience in anon-technical role. Telco experience.
- 8+ years experience in Project Management, Programme Management and PMO.
