As a Manager - Technical Product Management Chapter, you will lead the strategic planning, development and implementation of Technology products, practices and processes in accordance with industry Product Management standards and best practices. You will ensure the internal voice of the customer is heard, and partner with customers of Emirates Group IT to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participates in the validation of the proposed solutions. You will provide a Shared Service for technology user experience across all business portfolios and agile release trains, leading the strategic planning, development, and implementation of user experience (UX) tools and
frameworks
In this role, you will:
- Provide a clear mission and strategic vision for the Chapter, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overarching goals. Shape the direction and priorities of the chapter's initiatives and activities, driving excellence, innovation, and a cohesive approach to achieving the organisation's objectives.
- Accountable for defining, documenting, and regularly updating best practices, methodologies, and standards for the Chapter of over 150 people. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the Chapter, ensuring that knowledge and best practices are documented and shared effectively. Facilitate the formation of Communities of Practice (CoP) that enable learning and sharing across teams, promoting collaboration.
- Implement defined career ladders and core competencies, ensuring chapter members understand their career path options and what is required to be ready to advance to the next level. Provide continuous feedback and servant leadership to support them based on their potential, performance, and aspirations. Facilitate workshops, cross-skilling, and upskilling sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of Chapter members. Provide guidance and guardrails to portfolios on capacity management and consistent assessment process across portfolios for the capability.
- Facilitate cross Chapter collaboration and act as a resource for resolving technical or methodological issues to ensure seamless integration and interoperability. Build productive relationships with the senior executive leadership, chapter heads (i.e. Architecture, Delivery & PMO, Product Management, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Service Management), internal & external partners and other stakeholders to enable collaboration at scale and effective resolution of any impediments encountered by the teams.
- Accountable for a Shared Service of Technology Experience team who deliver critical services across all business portfolios and Agile Release Trains. Ensure the team provides expert user interface and user experience (UI/UX) services, enabling the delivery of well-designed technology products which differentiate the Emirates group from our competitors.
- Design the strategy and drive the adoption of a design system for Emirates Group IT, aligned with corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand (CCMB). The role holder is the Product Manager for Design System tools and platforms within Emirates Group IT.
- Coach and mentor a team of high performing IT professionals, providing continuous feedback and facilitating professional development. Enable the team to flourish through high levels of engagement and productivity, nurture and attract high performing experts.
Requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) .
- Degree in business administration, economics, marketing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Information Technology. Other: 10+ Years
- Proven leadership experience in leading Technology change for a large organisation.
- Experience in agile delivery methods within the context of a large technology change programme.
- Leading technology teams in an Enterprise with a team size of 50+ product professionals, with sound people skills.
- Proven record of building technology products, looking for ways to create value and solve complex problems with a drive for innovation.
- Ability to effectively convey business concepts, and the implications, to technical colleagues.
- Product Management skills, having performed the role of Product Owner and Manager prior to leading a large portfolio or Business Capability
- Desirable - Previous aviation or travel & transportation industry experience.
