Manager – Technology Implementation

Job description / Role

- Manage and execute the effective procurement, deployment, implementation and support of technology solutions as defined in the Technology Intelligence initiatives within the company.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management Systems related to technology deployment.
- Work closely with technology vendors to ensure smooth, timely and cost-effective delivery and commissioning of selected technologies
- Manage remote field crews required to implement technologies globally
- Develop comprehensive support mechanisms to enable smooth day-to-day operation of deployed technologies and time efficient problem solving and solutions to site-based issues
- Assist in identification of technology trends and innovation within the mining industry, as well as other leading & influential industries where technology may be adapted from
- Assist in research and development projects for fast-tracked development of Technology Intelligence applications
- Assist in the road-mapping, assessment, adjudication and monitoring of selected technologies within the Technology Intelligence initiatives

Requirements

- At least 10 years’ experience in the deployment and implementation of instrumentation, electronics, data engineering, robotics, sensors and automation
- At least 5 years’ experience as a technology implementation and deployment manager or similar
- Experience in mineral exploration, geology, mining, mineral processing and data integration will be highly advantageous
- Higher education (Specialist’s degree) – Preferred but not necessarily required if candidate has sufficient industry experience
- Strong technical background in the deployment and implementation of instrumentation, electronics, data engineering, robotics, sensors and automation
- Strong experience in product procurement, deployment implementation, training and support. Proficient in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management Systems related to technology implementation
