Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
* To support the development of Risk infrastructure of the Bank in the region
* To support development of Credit Bureau infrastructure, integrate with the data warehouse, develop MIS & analytics based on Credit Bureau Data

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Business/ Product Development:
* Special Projects: The role will assist in developing Retail Data Layer (RDL) for the Middle East and Africa region. The project involves creating a standardized data structure in RRSSC (Retail Risk Shared Service Center) to enable production of MIS, all kinds of portfolio monitoring across the region. The project manager is expected to know the business processes in each country, systems used in each country, interpretation of and usage of variables and finally translate into standard data structures. The role involves liaison with the business partners, risk and other support functions to obtain correct interpretations.

Credit Initiation

UAE Portfolio Management:
* This aspect of the role involves setting managing the data storage and archival standards of Credit Bureau data obtained through portfolio scrubs and regular queries. The data will need to be integrated into the RDL and ultimately into the EDM (Enterprise Data Mart) project for future use in scorecards and analytics. The incumbent is expected to be actively involved in the Application to Application interface project currently underway. As part of the project, the incumbent will liaise with Experian through Group Credit where needed, in defining the field usage in credit application pre processing systems and other applications, setting interfaces between middleware and application pre processing systems etc. The incumbent is expected to assist the country Portfolio Monitoring team in developing standard MIS to track trends based on bureau data

Requirements

* Expertise in SAS
* 12+ Years of work experience
* Post Graduate or MBA in any discipline
* Prior knowledge of SCB systems used in SCB ME & Africa
* Exposure to and experience in leading data warehousing projects, knowledge of datawarehousing standards
* Business knowledge of Retail Banking, Loans & Credit Card systems & Processes
* 10 years or more of experience in consumer risk management
* Strong analytical power, good problem solving skills and ability to work under immense pressure
* Possesses sharp judgment and ability to make prompt and reliable decision under immense pressure
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, good leadership and people management skills
* Judgment required to make choices on various alternate technological solutions, keeping the Bank's long term objectives, cost effectiveness etc in mind
* Sound decision making skills
