Job description / Role
An exceptional opportunity exists within a design consultancy for a Managing Director to join their team in Dubai.
Reporting to the Founding Partner you will have responsibility for overseeing the operations of large and highly successful team of Architects & Engineers. You will have full P&L and operational responsibility. You will lead Accounts/Finance, Recruitment, Business Development throughout the region and champion design and project excellence.
- Leads the management team to establish strategic plans and long term objectives for the functions; may assist with developing cross-functional oriented objectives
- Leads and directs architectural/planning and/or engineering activities for multiple functions
- Accountable for performance and results for functional areas.
- Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies.
- Influences the development and execution of KP-wide policies and long-term goals.
- Participates in development and methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
- Applies advanced knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, and design criteria pertinent to engineering and medical architecture planning and design work.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have a B.Sc. / BA Architecture and demonstrable experience of managing a studio/office of a minimum of 40+ people in the Middle East. Previous P&L responsibility, a proven background in identifying and winning new architectural related business and extensive experience of working on multi-million mixed-use or commercial projects.
This position would suitable a dynamic, commercially minded individual with a flair for design and a proven track record of managing teams of 40+ Architects & Engineers.
