Marina Manager

Executive Solutions is keen to appoint a high caliber Marina Manager with extensive experience in marina management and the leisure marine sector. The ideal candidate must display and possess a true passion for boating and genuinely value the importance of first class service to a varied and diverse clientele. The Marina Manager will be responsible for the entire Marina asset and business to ensure efficient and profitable operations, and maximize the potential of the facility. Our consulting client is a renowned developer and investment company based in Abu Dhabi well established to develop and manage investment strategies of businesses.

The Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the selected candidate are to develop, implement and report on the annual marina business plan including all marina operating budgets, marketing plans, customer service improvement programs, staffing plan, etc; to ensure effective control of revenues, cost of goods sold, expenses and operating results, and takes corrective action to guarantee achievement of marina operating objectives and to provide the Marina Owner with detailed monthly and annual reports on all marina business activities, financial results and key statistical data.

Also to develop, implement and maintain systems and processes that effectively provide all marina customers, tenants and contractors with the highest level of professionalism and customer service, strategic marketing and sales initiatives to ensure continued business growth; to source, negotiate and engage suitable retail partners to maximize operational revenues and to recruit and manage all employees effectively and in accordance with all established HR policies. You will ensure that all property and assets are maintained, monitored and presented in a manner that is in keeping with the marina standards, you will conform to all corporate and marina policies and procedures, ensuring that all marina staff conduct their duties in the same manner, you will meet established quality standards for all marina related operations, ensure the recognized standards are maintained and that quality and delivery commitments are met and you will coordinate marina operations to obtain optimum berth or property occupancy rates.

Requirements

To be considered you must be a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Hospitality or Asset Management; with a minimum of 7 years experience in marina management; you must be Qualified as a Certified Marina Manager (CMM) by the Association of Marina Industries or similar internationally recognized institute will be a significant advantage; potential candidate must have an experience as a Marina Manager in the Middle East; International experience an advantage; Fluent in English, both written and oral however Arabic an advantage; Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and must be available to start on or before 1st November 2011.
