Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsible for the maintenance of marine plant and equipment associated within our fleet of near-shore SEP’s and workboats including inboard and outboard motors.
• Follow correct routines as laid down by Fugro PPM system to ensure cost control, reliability and high standard of equipment is maintained.
• Able to execute the regular service of inboard and outboard motors and associated propulsion mechanisms.
• Able to fault find inboard and outboard motors and associated propulsion mechanisms.
• Ensure that work is performed safely and within time limits where breakdowns on site occur.
• Assist the Workshop Manager, Boat Operators and Barge masters and other mechanic technicians in providing suitable solutions to problems / situations faced at locations around the Gulf.
• Ensure that all information and events on site are logged accurately and handed over to the Foreman.
• Ensure that all mechanical operations are undertaken according to the company’s HSE policies and local health, safety and environmental regulations. He should be aware of all safety issues and potential risks of the job and maintain clean working stations.

Requirements

• Minimum of technical or trade school certificate
• Minimum 5 years experience in servicing and fault finding Yamaha and Yanmar Engines
• Minimum 5 years experience in servicing other marine components such as propulsion and cooling systems
• Fluent in English
