Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose
Define, develop and implement strategic marketing and operational plans in order to enhance the company capabilities with the customers, consumers and shareholders.

Major Accountabilities

Building the Marketing Plan:
- Agree with The Coca-Cola Company on the annual marketing budget in terms of Below The Line (BTL) and Above The Line (ATL) spending.
- Formulate AGL’s marketing plans and strategy by brand, in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager and the Regional Coca-Cola office in Bahrain.
- Develop and execute new product launch plans.
- Conceptualize ideas and monitor execution of special events; negotiate major sponsorship deals.
- Measure brand and advertising performance by monitoring Key Business Indicators (TOM, branded cut through, etc.)
- Analyze and monitor consumer buying behaviors and other key macro and micro elements by undertaking primary and secondary research.
- Approve new graphic printing for cans and label suppliers.
- Implement the agreed marketing plans in conjunction with Media Buying and Advertising Agencies.

Building the Operations Capabilities
- Agree with The Coca-Cola Company on the operational plans and budgets for the various channels.
- Measure each region’s performance against agreed KBI’s and productivity ratios.
- Introduce the regions to the latest path breaking developments in The Coca-Cola Company related to account development, sales, merchandising and distribution.
- Enhance impulse purchase at the Points of Purchase (POP) by proposing in-store trade marketing activities.
- Enhance the regional capabilities through proposing external and on-the-job training, in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
- Monitor the performance and agree on the plans of the Key Accounts, in coordination with the Regional Managers.
- Manage the sales and profitability of third party Distributors, if any.
- Assist the General Manager on all sales operations led initiatives.

Business Plan & Budget Preparations:
- Lead the AGL budget preparation exercise in coordination with the various Business Unit heads and finalize the strategic imperatives in terms of execution and efficiency.
- Ensure delivery against agreed budgeted sales targets through close liaison with the Regional Managers.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree is a must. MBA would be an added advantage.
- Fluent in MS Office.
- 10 years previous experience in Sales and Key Accounts Management within a well-reputed FMCG environment whereby he would have acquired exposure to the sales and marketing operations.
- Should have extensive experience in Managing a Department
- Have a UAE Driving License
