Overview / Basic function
Responsible for managing the social media channels of Rosewood Abu Dhabi including but not exclusively Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and using these channels to develop a vibrant marketing program to stimulate demand and position the food and beverage outlets as well as Sense Spa to reflect their unique personality (in keeping with the brand direction of Rosewood) by working closely with hotel departments and DOSM. Execute the daily activities of the marketing department such as media visits organization, marketing activities coordination, and ensuring hotel website, hotel information resources such as iPads and collateral are up to date and according to Rosewood Hotels & Resorts standards. Creation and design of hotel collateral, food and beverage outlet promotion visuals and menus, hotel advertising, and festive season brochure within Rosewood Hotels & Resorts standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Rosewood Abu Dhabi social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by creating a refined calendar for the year, engaging with followers, and recognizing possible post and investment opportunities to boost social media channels.
- Oversee Rosewood Abu Dhabi website page and other online media such as TripAdvisor to ensure all is updated and aligned as per Rosewood Hotels & Resorts standards.
- Creation and design of hotel collateral, food and beverage outlet promotion visuals and menus, hotel advertising, and festive season brochure within Rosewood Hotels & Resorts standards.
- Assist in managing marketing resources to optimize the revenue potential of the total hotel operation.
- Develop a program of highly innovative marketing events and activities to ensure that Rosewood Abu Dhabi has a creative schedule of events and communication, tailored to each business or outlet.
- Engage positively with the operational teams to harness their great ideas and deploy as part of the marketing and social media agenda.
- Develop tasteful creative concepts that accurately reflect the positioning and personality of each restaurant or business.
- Ensure that all campaigns are approved in a timely manner in accordance with the hotel's communication strategy.
- Fully respect and work within corporate identity guidelines as defined in the graphic standards manual.
- Work with third party organizations such as banks, airlines, and retail operations for a mutual shared marketing benefit.
- Strive to exceed personal and departmental business-based objectives set in conjunction with the DOSM.
- Build effective fresh databases and maintain accurate guest data integrity.
- Assist to implement and control a yearly program of events, activities, and campaigns that support the positioning of each business such as food and beverage outlets, Sense Spa, and accommodation and develop awareness and revenue flow.
- Keep abreast of new revenue tools available to help identify niche marketing ideas that will support innovation and creativity.
- Support the core strategy (by market segment) of Rosewood Abu Dhabi's launch marketing campaign.
- Prepare statistical reports that reflect a return on investment of key marketing initiatives.
- Prepare applicable monthly revenue statistical reports that accurately reflect both the historical and future business trends for Rooms, F&B, and C&B.
- Ensure the event calendar of activities is professionally reflected within web and e-commerce strategy (in line with Rosewood policy).
- Carry out other duties that may from time to time be assigned by DOSM.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as complimentary and entertainment forms, database updates, and purchase orders follow-up.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum two yearsu2019 experience in an applied service sector marketing role.
- Education: College degree.
- General skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up; be a creative, clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guestu2019s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Technical skills: Full capability to work with Photoshop and InDesign software. Demonstrate experience with social media channels and their impact. Demonstrated experience in organizing, planning, and executing marketing projects from conception through implementation; strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
- Language: Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
